Today, Markfield has excellent road links in the A50 and the M1. Long gone are the horse drawn carts and steam vehicles of yesteryear.

More than 60 years have passed since Browns Blue ceased its network of services in West Leicestershire.

The face, noise and fame of Markfield changed again in 1965 with the opening of the M1.
