How to get the best from the site......

Top bar - across the dark grey bar at the top are tabs for pages found on many websites, such as contact us and links.

History information - when on the home tab in the top bar, the light grey tabs below show local history subject headings, for example places, war, transport. Our information articles and pictures are grouped under these. Click whichever heading interests you.

The all posts link shows every article. New articles appear first for a while, followed by those categorised as 'other', and then posts in the order of the subject headings.

Search - at the end of the row of light grey subject links is the symbol for searching. Click this and type a word or topic of interest, and the site will search for that word in article titles and in the text itself. So, for example, click the search symbol, type in Church – press enter, and all the articles with Church in the title or text will appear This is a good way to use the site and find articles of interest.

Keep updated - subscribe to get notified of every new post! Go to the contact us page and enter your email address.
